Silver King White Sweet Corn
Silver King is the highest sweet and creamiest corn variety with tender kernels and a clean sugary flavor.
How it compares to Yellow sweet corn
Silver King (se): Contains 16% to 18% sugar. This makes it roughly 2 to 3 times sweeter than regular yellow corn.
Storage & handling
- Refrigerate soon after harvest because sweetness declines over time.
- Remove husk and silk immediately before cooking.
- Do not overcook; fresh sweet corn needs only brief heating.

Butter-Boiled Silver King CornA simple method that highlights fresh sweetness.+
Ingredients
- 4 ears corn
- Water
- Butter
- Salt
Instructions
- Shuck corn and remove silk.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- Add corn and cover.
- Cook 3 to 5 minutes.
- Drain and serve with butter and salt.
